Brown gushed that Dick Whitman once held the same [Emmy](http://time.com/4945683/nicole-kidman-emmy-speech-domestic-abuse/?xid=homepage) statue before he did. Naturally, the sneaky _Mad Men_ reference immediately took on a life of its own online. Brown — who also praised Walter White from _Breaking Bad_ in his Emmy acceptance speech — was referencing the birth name of Don Draper, the main character in the [hit AMC drama](http://time.com/mad-men-history/) . (The character changed his name to reinvent himself after serving in the army.) At the sound of everyone’s favorite escaped Pennsylvania farm boy turned creative director genius, people went nuts.
