The comedian, who was fired by CNN and dropped from a Squatty Potty ad this week, got emotional at a news conference Friday, as she apologized again for the image, which she said sparked a Secret Service investigation. Griffin also said bullying from Trump and his family has destroyed her life. “I don’t think I’m going to have a career after this. I’m going to be honest, he broke me,” Griffin said, breaking into tears. “A sitting president of the United States and his grown children, and the First Lady, personally, I feel, are trying to ruin my life forever.” Griffin said she was was mocking Trump’s [previous remarks about Megyn Kelly](http://www.cnn.com/2015/08/08/politics/donald-trump-cnn-megyn-kelly-comment/index.html) having “blood coming out of her wherever” when she posed for what became a widely condemned photo. She was trying to interpret the “sexist” remarks Trump made last year after a Republican debate in which he said moderator Kelly had “blood coming out of her eyes.” “It was a parody of Trump’s own sexist remarks taken to an extreme absurdist visual,” Griffin’s attorney Lisa Bloom said. “Kathy teamed up with a photographer to mock Trump, our mocker-in-chief, \[to show\] what would it look like if his own insults were turned on him.” The photo shows a straight-faced Griffin holding up a fake, decapitated Trump head, which is covered in dripping blood. I'm not afraid of Donald Trump. He's a bully. I've dealt with older white guys trying to keep my down my whole life, my whole career. I'm a woman in a very male dominated field. I love what I do, I love making people laugh more that anything in the world. And I have learned over the years, that sometimes when you do stand- up, and I've done it in a war zone and I've done it at Walter Reed Hospital and I've done it at Carnegie Hall Sometimes people want a joke that's out there and a little crazy. Regarding the image that I participated in, the apology absolutely stands. I feel horrible. I have performed in war zones. The idea that many people think of this tragedy, to have been touched by this tragedy is horrifying and it's horrible. Trust me, if I could re- do the whole thing I would've had a blow up doll and no ketchup. I make mistakes. I'm an out there comedian. I'm an in- your- face comedian. What's happening to me has never happened, ever, in the history of this great country.
