When Donald and [Melania Trump](http://motto.time.com/4640723/melania-trump-ralph-lauren-inauguration/) arrived at the White House with a Tiffany & Co. blue gift box for President Obama and [First Lady Michelle](http://motto.time.com/4639410/michelle-obama-best-quotes/), there was no one on hand to whisk the present away. After glancing around for someone who could hold the gift while the four posed for photos, Obama ended up taking the box, tied in a white satin ribbon, inside himself. “I’ll take care of the protocol here,” he joked to the onlookers present.
