Everyone’s got an unlikely friend and [Pharrell](http://time.com/4573320/pharell-crave-hidden-figures/) is no exception — except his unlikely friend is none other than [magician David Blaine](http://content.time.com/time/health/article/0,8599,1736834,00.html), who seems to have a [penchant for amphibians](http://time.com/4573429/drake-dave-chapelle-david-blaine-magic/).

During an interview on [_The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon_](http://time.com/4576719/nicole-kidman-jimmy-fallon-date-video/), the preternaturally youthful musician revealed what it was really like to be friends with Blaine.

“He’s the only friend you know that swallows frogs and regurgitates them at will,” Pharrell said with a laugh.

The musician did wish, however, that Blaine’s mind-blowing tricks would have worked their magic with the results of the presidential election in favor of his political views.

“As a magician, he has the uncanny ability of making things disappear and reappear and disappear — where was he during the election?”
