Eric Trump said in a new interview Thursday that white supremacist David Duke is “disgusting” and suggested the former Ku Klux Klan leader deserves to be shot.
Trump, the son of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, made the remarks during an on-air discussion with 630 KHOW Denver after its radio host said Duke “desperately needs a bullet in the head.”
“The guy does deserve a bullet,” the younger Trump said. “I mean, these aren’t good people. These are horrible people.”
“A guy like David Duke is disgusting,” he later added.
The elder Trump has been distancing himself from Duke after Duke’s endorsement briefly marred his campaign in controversy earlier this year when the White House hopeful was criticized for hesitating to disavow Duke.
