Khizr Khan, the Gold Star father of a Muslim-American Army captain who died while serving in Iraq, will hit the campaign trail for Hillary Clinton this week.
Khan will campaign for Clinton in Virginia on Wednesday, meeting with community leaders, veterans and military families at a mosque and a local restaurant during three stops in Norfolk, the Los Angeles Times reported.
Khan gave an impassioned speech at the Democratic National Convention in July and was featured in an emotional 60-second campaign ad for Clinton last week. In the spot, Khan shares the story of his son’s death and addresses Donald Trump, asking, “Would my son have a place in your America?”
