Author [Lev Grossman’s](http://time.com/4505735/lev-grossman-warp/) next [book](https://www.washingtonpost.com/entertainment/books/the-magicians-author-writing-novel-set-in-post-camelot-era/2016/09/28/c90aa3da-8577-11e6-b57d-dd49277af02f%5Fstory.html) will be set after the collapse of Camelot, following the knights in a post-Arthurian era.

Grossman, the book critic and lead technology writer for TIME, achieved best-seller status with his trilogy [_The Magicians_](https://www.amazon.com/dp/0452296293/?tag=timecom-20)_,_ [_The Magician King_](https://www.amazon.com/dp/0452298016/?tag=timecom-20)and [_The Magician’s Land_](https://www.amazon.com/dp/0147516145/?tag=timecom-20)_._ The series has been adapted for TV by SyFy, and its second season will air in 2017\. His new novel will be titled _The Bright Sword._

Grossman told the Associated Press the new book’s historical setting is a “strangely powerful lens” for examining “the way we live now.” His publisher, Viking, has not yet announced a release date for _The Bright Sword._
