Grossman, the book critic and lead technology writer for TIME, achieved best-seller status with his trilogy [_The Magicians_](https://www.amazon.com/dp/0452296293/?tag=timecom-20)_,_ [_The Magician King_](https://www.amazon.com/dp/0452298016/?tag=timecom-20)and [_The Magician’s Land_](https://www.amazon.com/dp/0147516145/?tag=timecom-20)_._ The series has been adapted for TV by SyFy, and its second season will air in 2017\.
