Yankees Fan Loses Engagement Ring During Live Scoreboard Proposal

A Yankees fan who decided to pop the question during New York’s Tuesday night game against the Boston Red Sox was in for an unpleasant surprise when he discovered he had dropped the engagement ring.

As the proposal unfolded live on the scoreboard, the entire stadium — along with fans at home — watched as the couple desperately searched the stands for an agonizingly long minute of uncertainty. “He fumbles right away — I mean he’s nervous,” the announcers narrated. “This is like one of the big moments of his life and now he can’t find the ring, the box is empty. Oh that poor guy.”

Thankfully, the ring was eventually recovered, leading to a huge cheer from the crowd and what looked like a resounding ‘yes’ from the girlfriend.
