The upcoming season of Documentary Now!, Fred Armisen and Bill Hader’s extended parody of the documentary genre, will include an episode spoofing the Talking Heads’ 1984 concert film Stop Making Sense.
Ahead of the show’s second season premiere on IFC on Wednesday, Armisen and Hader took the stage on Late Night With Seth Meyers to debut Test Pattern, the Talking Heads-inspired band that will appear in the episode this season.
The Saturday Night Live alumni performed the Armisen-penned song, “Art + Student = Poor,” a convincing parody of late 1970s era Talking Heads, with plenty of callbacks to Stop Making Sense. Watch the performance above.
