
Lena Dunham has announced a forthcoming short story collection called Best and Always.
She revealed the news in Tuesday’s Summer Fiction issue of Lenny Letter with a short story called “The Mechanic” and provided further detail on Instagram.
“This issue was also an exciting lil’ way to let you know that I’m at work on my first fiction collection, Best and Always, to be published next year by Random House,” Dunham wrote on Instagram. “Thrilled to share a hint of it with you.”
“The Mechanic,” explores the a relationship between a 21-year-old and an older mechanic.
Best and Always will be Dunham’s first collection of fiction. The writer and actress previously wrote and published an essay collection entitled Not That Kind of Girl.
