Body camera footage captured a Georgia police officer rescuing a man from a burning car.
Athens-Clarke County Police officer Dan Whitney was responding to a car wreck Aug. 18 when he discovered that a man was trapped inside a burning car, according to local CBS affiliate WREG.
The video captured officer Whitney trying to get the fire out with a fire extinguisher to no avail. He was then able to crack the car door open just enough to be able to pull the man out of the vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle died during the crash, according to WREG.
