Trump is currently speaking at the convention after being introduced by his daughter [Ivanka](http://motto.time.com/4414551/ivanka-trump-donald-daughter/), following speeches by RNC chairman Reince Preibus, Silicon Valley billionaire [Peter Thiel](http://time.com/4417679/republican-convention-peter-thiel-transcript/?xid=homepage) and several others. The convention has been eventful, to say the least, with controversies such as the speech given by the Republican candidate’s wife Melania — allegedly [plagiarized](http://time.com/4417136/donald-trump-meredith-mciver-resign/) from a 2008 speech by current first lady Michelle Obama — and runner-up Ted Cruz’s [refusal to endorse](http://time.com/4416260/republican-convention-ted-cruz-speech/) Trump, marking previous days.
