On Sunday, MTV News reporter Jamil Smith posted a photo on Instagram at the [Republican National Convention ](http://time.com/4409798/republican-convention-schedule-cleveland/)of some pins for sale, as The Cut [pointed out](http://nymag.com/thecut/2016/07/anti-hillary-clinton-pins-at-republican-national-convention.html). While some were classic “Make America Great Again” pins, most took a very different tone. One pin has two shades of pink with stars and reads “Hot chicks for Trump.” The most shocking pins, however, were crude and sexist attacks on Hillary Clinton. A blue and white pin says “KFC Hillary Special: 2 fat thighs 2 small breasts…left wing.” Another declared “Life’s a bitch/Don’t vote for one” This isn’t the first time the “KFC” pins have made an appearance at Republican gatherings. In November 2015, TIME [reported](http://time.com/4111613/these-sexist-anti-hillary-clinton-buttons-are-on-sale-at-a-gop-conference/) that those pins were on sale at the Florida Republican Party’s Sunshine Summit. > [](https://twitter.com/JoePerticone/status/665181462900158464) The buttons for sale are part of a [long tradition of sexist nastiness](http://time.com/4357406/hillary-clinton-sexist-donald-trump/) on political buttons and other merchandise. And Hillary Clinton is a frequent target. Online vendors are often blaring “The last time I saw a woman like Hillary someone dropped a house on her,” and more succinctly, “Trump that bitch.” The _Telegraph_ [took note](http://www.telegraph.co.uk/women/life/the-sexist-hillary-clinton-merchandise-that-will-make-you-cringe/) of similar merchandise, specifically targeting President Bill Clinton’s affair with Monica Lewinsky. One pin shows a photograph of Lewinsky with the caption “Vote Monica 2016\.
