One Direction may be on hiatus but that doesn’t mean its members aren’t still doing big things — although whether those things have anything to do with reuniting is a different story.
In recent news from the British boy band, Niall Horan has landed his first solo cover on this month’s edition of Today’s Golfer. The 22-year-old singer posed alongside 2013 US Open winner Justin Rose for the magazine’s “Cool Issue.”
While this move may come as a surprise to some, Horan revealed that he has long had a passion for golf, explaining that he often used the sport as a fun distraction while touring with 1D. “When I was on the road with One Direction it allowed me to escape the hotel for a few hours and relax,” he told Golfer. “Harry (Styles) and I used to play a fair bit and travelling so much has allowed me to play some amazing courses all over the world. It’s a great way to escape from everything for a few hours.”
