Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump sparred over Trump’s business record in Atlantic City, N.J. on Wednesday, ahead of Clinton’s speech in the city.
Clinton’s campaign released a new video Wednesday morning, slamming Trump’s “Atlantic City gamble” and arguing he had “stacked the deck for himself” with his casinos in the city.
The Trump Plaza Casino and Hotel is now closed, the Trump Marina Hotel and Casino was sold at a loss and the Trump Taj Mahal is now under new ownership, according to the New York Times. The Times published a report last month detailing how Trump’s Atlantic City casinos struggled and fell into bankruptcy, while Trump earned millions.

“I made a lot of money in Atlantic City and left 7 years ago, great timing (as all know). Pols made big mistakes, now many bankruptcies,” Trump said on Twitter on Wednesday, responding to Clinton’s video.
Trump defended his record, arguing that Democratic politicians in the city “made all the wrong moves” and hurt business.
“Even the once great Caesars is bankrupt in A.C. Others to follow. Ask the Democrat City Council what happened to Atlantic City,” he added, referring to Caesars Atlantic City Hotel and Casino.
Clinton’s campaign said she plans to focus on Trump’s business failings in her speech on Wednesday, using them to question his fitness for the presidency.
