Five Dead After Amtrak Train Crashes Into Vehicle in Colorado

Five people were killed and another person was seriously injured after a vehicle failed to yield the right of way and collided with an Amtrak train in Colorado on Sunday morning, the state patrol said.

Two of the victims were adults, and four were children, NBC station KUSA of Denver reported. All six were inside the vehicle, and the one to survive, a young girl, was airlifted to a nearby hospital, the state patrol said.

All were wearing seat belts, investigators said.
