The Queen of England proved that she is both gracious and modern when she took to Twitter on Tuesday to personally send a Tweet of gratitude to all who wished her well on her 90th birthday.

I am most grateful for the many digital messages of goodwill I have received and would like to thank you all for your kindness. Elizabeth R.
