Uber will offer free rides to a selection of LGBT spots including bars, community centers and museums this weekend in solidarity with the community following a shooting at a gay nightclub in Orlando, the company announced Friday
The company will grant users two free rides of $20 or less to a selection of locations in dozens of cities across the U.S., such as New York City’s Stonewall Inn. The offer began Friday at noon and ends at midnight on Monday.
The ride-hailing app has given free rides to family of the 49 people who were shot and killed in Orlando last Sunday.
