The sorting hat in Harry Potter shaped the destinies of the students of Hogwarts. Now the stars of the movies have been sorted into their respective houses — and they didn’t all end up where you might expect.
In the books and films, Ron and Ginny Weasley, Neville Longbottom were all assigned to the courageous House of Gryffindor, while Luna Lovegood was sorted to the cerebral Ravenclaw, but the online sorting hat on Pottermore had other ideas for the actors that played them.
Actors Rupert Grint (Ron), Bonnie Wright (Ginny), Matthew Lewis (Neville) and Evanna Lynch (Luna) answered a series of questions on the website ranging from “White or black?” and “How would you like to be known to history?” in order to find the house that they belonged to.
Surprisingly enough, only two of the four actors got Gryffindor, while the other two were sorted to the gentler Hufflepuff.
