While the South Carolina woman was out, neighbors and passerby captured video of an [alligator](http://time.com/4214021/florida-man-throws-alligator-into-wendys-drive-thru-window/?iid=sr-link2) climbing the front door of her Moncks Corner house. The [reptile was seen](http://time.com/3971548/alligator-new-york-city/?iid=sr-link4) scratching at the door after wandering through a few nearby yards, according to Gary Rogers, a witness who was walking his dog. “He was trying to climb the fence a couple times, tried to climb somebody’s door. It was pretty funny, actually,” [Rogers told WCIV](http://abcnews4.com/news/local/video-gator-crawls-up-front-door-of-moncks-corner-familys-home). “I didn’t know alligators could actually climb. And [this alligator](http://time.com/4141843/alligator-burglar-florida/?iid=sr-link3) looked like he was really trying to make an attempt to get over the fence and into this woman’s pool in the backyard. And then they sent me the video front on and I was in disbelief. Couldn’t believe it.
