Kesha just dropped her first single in three years, amid an ongoing controversy with her label.
Kesha and EDM artist Zedd debuted ‘True Colors’ during Zedd’s set at Coachella, Rolling Stone reports. The song will be available for purchase and streaming Friday.
Kesha has been in a lengthy legal battle over her contract with Sony, claiming her producer Dr. Luke abused and sexually assaulted her. In March she filed an appeal against the February decision upholding her contract with Sony.
Zedd tweeted that Kemosabe Records, the label owned by Sony under which Kesha is contracted, gave them permission to release the song, saying he didn’t use any “loop holes.”
“Thanks for the clarification @Zedd …” Dr. Luke tweeted in response.
