When [Prince passed away](http://time.com/4303558/prince-dead-paisley-park-57/?iid=sr-link1) on April 21, everyone from [President Obama](http://time.com/4304190/prince-dead-barack-obama-reaction/?iid=sr-link7) to [Madonna](http://time.com/4303561/prince-dead-celebrity-tributes/?iid=sr-link1) to [Lin-Manuel Miranda](http://time.com/4303561/prince-dead-celebrity-tributes/?iid=sr-link1) mourned the loss of a creative icon. Joining the politicians, fans, and celebrities in their grief were a bunch of weather reporters eager to pay homage to the Purple One.

YouTube channel [News Be Funny Videos](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCbKW7smxCcAvvatHJFLlIhw) put together a compilation of Purple-loving weather reporters making many, many Prince related puns in their on-air segments. While many meteorologists were eager to turn the rain purple, some ingenious reporters managed to work in mentions of Prince’s oeuvre, including “Sometimes It Snows in April”, “Little Red Corvette”, “U Got The Look”, and “Let’s Go Crazy.” Watch now, but bring an umbrella, because it’s raining puns.
