Amy Schumer is a lot of things: A stand-up comedian, a writer, a television producer and now, the May 2016 Vanity Fair cover subject.
In her interview, Schumer talked to Vanity Fair’s Bruce Handy about her cluttered calendar, her close friendships and some of the events that have shaped her career. On the set of her cover shoot, she took some time to watch and respond to a recent interview her current writing partner and costar Jennifer Lawrence did with Vanity Fair.
Lawrence says in the interview that the advice she would give a 10 year-old girl would be to “always be nice.” Schumer pauses the video to say, “That’s really sweet, but Jenn is the meanest person I know. … Jenn has sent me so many hurtful texts that make me laugh.”
Later, Lawrence says that her most annoying habit is saying sorry too much. “She’s never said ‘sorry’ to me,” Schumer jokes.

The most accurate part of Lawrence’s interview, according to Schumer? Her love for wine. Lawrence says that, on her ideal Saturday night, “Wine should be there, red wine…normally indoors, at home with friends.” “That’s true,” Schumer says. “She likes red wine, I like red wine, it’s a marriage made in heaven.”
