Queen Elizabeth II celebrates her 90th birthday today, which is being commemorated with gun salutes in the U.K., a walkabout around her home in Windsor Castle and a special radio broadcast recorded by her son Charles, The Prince of Wales.
The Queen has also become the first nonagenarian sovereign of the U.K. Not only did she help in the war effort during WWII, but has been monarch for long enough to enjoy a silver, golden and diamond jubilee.
