The Austin, Texas sixth-grader built her lemonade business, [BeeSweet Lemonade](http://beesweetlemonade.com/ "undefined") (soon-to-be [“Me & The Bees”](http://atlantablackstar.com/2016/03/28/11-year-old-lemonade-entrepreneur-elevates-shark-tank-success-to-news-deal-with-whole-foods-stores/ "undefined")), with a [1940s lemonade recipe](http://beesweetlemonade.com/pages/about-us "undefined") from her grandmother that uses flaxseed and local honey as sweetener. Ulmer received a [$60,000 investment](http://www.essence.com/2016/03/30/11-year-old-mikaila-ulmer-homemade-lemonade-contract-whole-foods "undefined") when she appeared on ABC’s _Shark Tank_ with her business. Whole Foods also saw the promise in her lemonade, which supports local bees by using honey. The supermarket chain signed [a deal](http://www.nbcnews.com/news/nbcblk/how-11-year-old-turned-something-scary-something-sweet-n545651 "undefined") with Ulmer to sell the lemonade in 55 stores across Arkansas, Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma.
