Donald Trump has just added another Hollywood endorsement to his list.
During an interview on Sunday on Fox News with Judge Jeanine Pirro, 55 year old actor Scott Baio said that he is supporting Trump for president, joining the likes of Kid Rock and Aaron Carter. When she asked why he answered: “It’s very simple. When he speaks, I understand him. He speaks like I speak. He also expressed his frustration with Washington saying that he wants the anti-establishment candidate to go in and “blow it up.”
Baio, best known for his role as Chachi on “Happy Days” and the titular character in “Charles in Charge,” added that he is “fed up” and “done with the Republicans” to the point that he no longer identifies with the party, and instead calls himself a Conservative Independent. He wants a candidate that will “relentlessly, relentlessly attack Hillary [Clinton],” something that Trump has been doing throughout his campaign, most recently with a very bizarre attack ad against her on Instagram.
Trump was not the actor’s first choice candidate. Last year, Baio appeared to show support for Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker when he posted a tweet with a picture of them together that read, “Gov. Walker sounds a lot like President Reagan.”
Walker dropped out of the race after unimpressive poll performances. A CNN poll released the day he suspended his campaign registered him at less than half of a percentage point nationally.
