Turns out, Anna Kendrick and Stephen Colbert have a few things in common. The Pitch Perfect star stopped by Thursday night’s episode of The Late Show to chat about her obsession with Lord of the Rings and her love for musical theater — two interests the host happens to share.

After discussing which Middle Earth characters they identify with and their past work with famed composer Stephen Sondheim (Kendrick on Out of the Woods and Colbert on a production of Company), Colbert convinces his guest to sing a duet with him. The pair then proceeds to stare deeply into each other’s eyes and belt out a pretty amazing rendition of “Falling in Love Is Wonderful” from Annie Get Your Gun.
