She didn’t make it to the Grammy Awards, but Rihanna made a comeback at the Brit Awards in London Wednesday when she hit the stage with Drake.
Wearing a white crop top and matching pants, the singer performed her single “Work,” Drake – who also partied with the star earlier in the week (along with Kendall Jenner) – made a surprise appearance at the end of her performance, and the two danced together and shared a hug.
On the red carpet, the singer – who pulled out of the Grammys after falling ill and has suffered tour setbacks since – looked stunning in a lilac Armani Prive dress with matching eyeshadow.
“Based on Rihanna’s examination, after Grammy rehearsal today, Rihanna’s doctor put her on vocal rest for 48 hours because she was at risk of hemorrhaging her vocal cords,” the singer’s rep previously told PEOPLE. “The antibiotics she has been on for three days did not kill the infection adequately; therefore, she cannot perform safely.”
