After a dozen performances, Adele took the stage at the Grammys to give a rousing rendition of “All I Ask,” off her 2015 album 25.

Though the sound during the ceremony dipped out in the beginning, she gave a stellar show and earned a standing ovation from the crowd inside the Staples Center in Los Angeles. (On social media, however, many complained about the technical issues.)
After the ceremony, she tweeted an explanation: “The piano mics fell on to the piano strings, that’s what the guitar sound was. It made it sound out of tune.”
Adele is just about to start her 25 tour, which will begin in Europe and come to North America this summer. Last week she performed in a surprise show in Los Angeles, and though she’s appeared in various televised specials since releasing 25, which sold 3.48 million copies in its first week out, this was her first performance at the Grammys since 2013 (back then, she performed “Set Fire To The Rain”).
25 was not eligible for any of the awards at this year’s Grammys and will compete in next year’s categories.
