The Office’s Jim (John Krasinski) and Pam (Jenna Fischer) will forever be remembered as one of the greatest couples — if not the greatest couple — on television, and Fischer told Andy Cohen that their swoon-worthy chemistry wasn’t all fake when she appeared on Watch What Happens Live Wednesday.
“There’s a real part of me that is Pam and a real part of him that is Jim, and those parts of us were genuinely in love with one another,” she said in response to a fan who asked how close the two were. “But in real life, we aren’t totally Pam and totally Jim, so in real life, we’re not the perfect match.”
Also in real life, the two got married in July 2010 — just, sadly for Office fans, not to each other: Fischer wed screenwriter Lee Kirk July 3, and Krasinski tied the knot with actress Emily Blunt just a week later on July 10.
But they were like spouses for a while there, Fischer says. “He was my partner. We will always be close because of it.”
