Jeb Bush painted a dark vision of the future for the Republican party on Wednesday—one where Hillary Clinton defeats Donald Trump on election day.
In a new online ad from the Bush campaign, the former Florida Gov. offers himself as a solution to defeating Clinton in November. “If Donald Trump is the nominee, Hillary Clinton will be elected president. We can’t let that happen,” Bush wrote on Twitter.

The ad, above, channels fears that Trump, despite his success among GOP voters, cannot beat Clinton in a general election. A voice announces that after the votes were tallied “Hillary Clinton will win.” The only alternative, according to the Bush campaign, is Bush himself.

The ad represents the latest broadside in Bush’s well-funded war on Trump. Bush, an early establishment favorite, quickly lost his front-runner status to the real estate mogul and has struggled to regain ground before early-voting begins in Iowa and New Hampshire.
