Warner Bros. released the first footage of the new Wonder Woman movie on the CW Tuesday, and it promises to tell an in-depth origin story of the DC Comics superhero.
“We’re going to see her coming of age, the entire history, what’s her mission,” leading actress Gal Gadot says in the preview reel.
The film is under the direction of Patty Jenkins, who says, “The greatest thing about Wonder Woman is how good and kind and loving she is, yet none of that negates any of her power.”
The movie is scheduled to debut June 23, 2017.
