Cookie would approve. Taraji P. Henson handed out some sweet treats on her way up to the stage to accept her Best Actress in a Drama Golden Globe for her role as Cookie on Empire.
When she reached the stage, after commanding, “Get off my train!” in glorious Cookie fashion to a man helping her up the stairs, she yelled, “Cookies for everyone tonight. My treat!”
During her speech, Henson mentioned that friends and fans had been lobbying for her to rap. “You’re going to have to wait for that,” she said. After doling out her thank yous, including to her co-star Terrence Howard, she concluded, “I’m taking this one for the entire Empire.”
