To mark his return from a two-week holiday vacation, Seth Meyers paid homage to the series everyone spent their breaks watching: _Making a Murderer_.

Meyers opened Monday’s episode of _Late Night_ with a parody of the Netflix series called _Making a Talk Show Host_.

“Ya gotta come back,” an anonymous staffer tells Meyers in the clip, which sticks to the format of taped phone conversations preferred by the show. “They don’t got no more reruns.”

When Meyers protests, the voice tells him “don’t get strange,” but it’s too late for that. The fake trailer concludes with a photo of Meyers done up in his best Steven Avery beard.

Watch the parody above. _Late Night with Seth Meyers_ airs at 12:35 p.m. on NBC.
