How to Watch Tonight’s Republican Debate Online

Watching the Republican presidential hopefuls slug it out for the last time in 2015 will be easy, thanks to a free livestream from of Tuesday’s debate in Las Vegas.

CNN, host of the fifth GOP debate of the cycle, will make a stream available on their homepage at CNN.com and on the network’s mobile apps. Coverage starts at 5 p.m.

The evening will again be split into two debates: the undercard and the main stage. Undercard candidates will take the stage at 6 p.m. with former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum, former New York Gov. George Pataki, South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham and Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee.

Coverage of the second debate will start at 8:30 p.m. with nine candidates on the main stage: Donald Trump, Dr. Ben Carson, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, Ohio Gov. John Kasich, Carly Fiorina, Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.

CNN’s debate will be the first to use early-state polling numbers as a way to make it to the main stage. Candidates must meet one of three criteria in CNN-approved polls conducted between October 29 and December 13 in order to make the cut: an average of at least 3.5% nationally; at least 4% in Iowa; or at least 4% in New Hampshire.

CNN decided to let Paul onto the main debate stage because he was “showing violability” in a recent Fox News Iowa poll. Christie—who is making a return to the main stage—Fiorina and Kasich all qualified with their New Hampshire averages.

The debate is moderated by CNN’s Wolf Blitzer. CNN political correspondent Dana Bash and Salem Radio Network talk show host Hugh Hewitt will also ask questions.
