A rapper, an [actor](http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0004879/), a [_Game of Thrones_](http://time.com/3753159/game-of-thrones-snoop-dog/)[ fan](http://time.com/3753159/game-of-thrones-snoop-dog/), a[ pot purveyor](http://time.com/4107828/leafs-by-snoop-dogg-marijuana-weed-cannabis/). But many people don’t realize that Snoop is also a visual artist. (Last year, _Paper_ magazine [called him](http://www.papermag.com/snoop-dogg-is-the-jackson-pollock-of-our-time-1427452364.html) “the Jackson Pollock of our time,” which feels correct.) On Tuesday night, Snoop stopped by _Jimmy Kimmel Live!_ to discuss his new marijuana brand — but Kimmel also made sure to bring up Snoop’s side hustle as a painter. He showed off a painting — “an original Snoop Doggy Dogg” — and then asked the rapper for some more detail. “You know what, it’s in spurts I paint,” Snoop explains. “Maybe three or four times a year.” Inspiration usually strikes when he’s in a hotel room in another country. He made the painting in the clip above, for example, in Australia at the Versace Hotel. But no, that doesn’t mean he carries his painting supplies all over the world with him. He is an entrepreneur. He obviously sends someone else to the paint store. You see it with sportswear and cosmetics all the time. So, who do you want if you're launching a brand new weed? Snoop Dogg, obviously. The rapper just launched his own branch of marijuana called Leafs by Snoop. It's touting itself as the first mainstream brand of marijuana, and it has product lines of leaves It's edibles and concentrates. It's only being sold in Live Well stores in Colorado, right now, but will roll out to other retailers. Since Snoop doesn't live in Colorado, he can't legally own the brand, so, according to The Cannabis, it's owned by Beyond Broadway, which operates Live Well. Marijuana sales continue to rise in Colorado.
