The cultural critics over at Screen Junkies are back with another “honest trailer” and this one tackles Fox’s latest reboot of Fantastic Four. “In a world full of terrible Fantastic Four movies, get ready…for another terrible Fantastic Four movie,” they captioned the video.
The trailer disses the studio’s supposed decision to remake the film solely to hang on to the rights to Marvel’s First Family.
“It’s been 10 years since the last good Fantastic Four movie,” the voiceover begins as footage of Pixar’s The Incredibles appears. “Now, Fox must crank out another one or lose the rights to a studio that would do a much better job.”
It then wastes no time taking shots at the film’s behind-the-scenes-drama, ridiculous finale and underused young stars — Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara, Miles Teller and Jamie Bell.
