The _Harry Potter_ actor received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Thursday, sporting a bald head as he grinned above his brand-new star. “It’s really an incredible honor,” he [told _Variety_](http://variety.com/2015/film/awards/daniel-radcliffe-moves-on-from-harry-potter-to-a-star-on-walk-of-fame-1201638762/ "undefined") this week about the distinction. “We \[Brits\] have a national embarrassment about people saying nice things about us, so I was taken aback at first but then I had a real sense of gratitude.” “It’s kind of amazing. I don’t know if they remove these things, but no matter how badly I mess up, they can’t remove it,” he also said. “It’s a very transient industry, but there’s something permanent about \[the star\].” Radcliffe, 26, received the honor in the midst of promoting his latest film, _Victor Frankenstein_, in which he plays infamous sidekick Igor. But the actor knows he will forever be associated with a certain boy wizard, and [admitted](http://www.ew.com/article/2015/11/13/harry-potter-daniel-radcliffe-cursed-child "undefined") on _Watch What Happens Live_ this week that it’s “very weird” to think of someone else tackling his iconic role, as someone will in the West End production of _Harry Potter and the Cursed Child_, out next year. “I’m getting asked a lot, ‘Would you play him?’ and I’m like, ‘No.’ Because I’ve done it. But it would be very weird to see someone else play him,” he told host [Andy Cohen](http://www.people.com/people/news/category/0,,personsTax:AndyCohen,00.html "undefined"). Radcliffe is less conflicted about seeing the upcoming _Star Wars: The Force Awakens_ movie, and even has his costume picked out – sort of.
