Nov 4, 2015 7:52 PM UTC Comedy Central announced Wednesday that the network was canceling that night’s episode of _The Daily Show_ as host Trevor Noah recuperates from an emergency appendectomy performed earlier in the day. Noah is reportedly recovering well following a successful procedure. The network will instead air a rerun of the nightly program, which Noah took over from previous host Jon Stewart in September. That's what he told Stephen Colbert when he stopped by The Late Show. Noah was explaining to Colbert the way Stewart doled out advice for hosting The Daily Show. Daily Show is what The Daily Show should be for you to be the best show you can make. And then I don't want to seem stupid, so I go, Yeah. Yeah. [ APPLAUSE ] And then, I walk away and I don't know what that meant. Noah and Colbert also touched on politics though, giving us an idea of what we can expect Noah's future daily show coverage.
