Sheldon Cooper’s fanboy dreams are about to come true.
Adam Nimoy is set to guest-star on The Big Bang Theory on Nov. 5 as himself, and he’ll have recurring guest star Wil Wheaton in tow. The episode, “The Spock Resonance,” will have Nimoy interviewing Sheldon (Jim Parsons) for a documentary about his father, Leonard, who died this year at the age of 83.
“While being interviewed, Sheldon struggles to suppress his emotions about his recent breakup with Amy, despite his overwhelming excitement for the sci-fi subject matter,” reads a CBS release. Though there’s no word on Wheaton’s role for the episode, it’s almost a sure thing that the former Star Trek: The Next Generation star will find some way to ruffle Sheldon’s feathers. Of course, there’s nothing like bonding over Nimoy’s legacy to bring archenemies together. (Or cause even more petty arguments.)
“The Spock Resonance” airs Nov. 5 at 8 p.m. ET when The Big Bang Theory moves into its new day and time on CBS.
