This husband doesn’t have to say “Lumos” to light up his wife’s day.
Amanda Kundert came home on her 26th birthday to find her apartment completely decked out for a surprise Harry Potter-themed party. Turns out, her husband, Corey Kundert, had been paying attention to her HP obsession.
Amanda shared photos of the party on Imgur and the details look completely magical. There were floating letters attached to a Hedwig balloon, Azkaban fliers with her face on them and Dementor kisses to snack on. He even made two different wizarding world cakes, one sloppily decorated to look like Hagrid had made it and one topped with a doll cut in half to look like a Mandrake.
Remarkably, Corey was able to throw the party without ever reading one of the Harry Potter books.
“He just knew that I loved them, so he spent time researching what a Mandrake was and how he could saw a Barbie doll in half to make it look like one,” Amanda told Buzzfeed News.
Looks like these two lovebirds won’t need any Amortentia to keep the spark alive.
