Parks and Recs fans will be pleased to know that Aziz Ansari is returning to the small screen next month — this time to star in his own show, Master of None. He plays Dev, a 30-year-old struggling actor trying to figure out what path he wants to take in life. Should he have kids? Should he settle down with his girlfriend? Should he get pizza or tacos for dinner?
Master of None is loosely based on Ansari’s own life experiences and features his real-life dad, Shoukath, as Dev’s immigrant father. SNL co-star Noël Wells co-stars as Dev’s girlfriend, Rachel. The show debuts on Netflix on Friday, Nov. 6.
