With less than a week until Oct. 21, 2015 – a.k.a. the day Marty McFly and Dr. Emmett Brown set their time machine in _Back to the Future Part II_ – the famous time-traveling duo have reunited. In a new Toyota commercial featuring [Michael J. Fox](http://www.people.com/people/news/category/0,,personsTax:MichaelJFox,00.html) and [Christopher Lloyd](http://www.people.com/people/news/category/0,,personsTax:ChristopherLloyd,00.html), the pair discuss what the film did (and didn’t) get right about life in 2015\. And it turns out, the film wasn’t totally off-base. As they drink coffee in a diner, the two realize that while dog-walking robots are still a thing of the future, we do, in fact, have 3-D movies and fingerprint technology. But the thing they are most surprised about? Fax machines. “Can you believe we said fax machines would still be around?” Fox asks. “Yeah, I got a fax machine,” Lloyd responds. “Who do you fax?” Fox asks in disbelief. “I fax the people I fax!” Lloyd defends, adding that he would happily send a fax to Fox. The reunion came on the same day that Lloyd, 76, admitted that he’d be up for a _Back to the Future: Part IV_ film. Speaking to [_The Hollywood Reporter_](http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/christopher-lloyd-id-do-back-832134), he said, “I would love to do Doc again, no question.” But even though he’d reprise his role in a heartbeat, he recognizes the challenges that come with making a new sequel. “It’s tough to come up with an idea that contains the excitement of the original three,” he added. “So it would be a real challenge for the writers to come up with an original _Back to the Future_ story that has the same passion and intensity and excitement as the other three. And the best evidence we have that time travel is impossible is that if they were ever invented, there would already be time- travelling tourists here amongst us. But I say, maybe there are. I mean, they're not gonna be obvious about it. They're gonna wear the clothes of our time, not silver spandex and leotards. He should have seen it coming. >> Take your stinking paws off me, you damn dirty ape. >> If I ever invented a time machine, the first trip I would take would be into the far future to get the more advanced model, instead of this clunky old DeLorean that doesn't have all the bugs worked out. I want one that's just a belt or a wristwatch. At Tulane University, there's a physicist, Frank Tipler, who demonstrated mathematically that a massive fast- spinning cylinder could warp space time in such a way to allow travel backwards in time. But once again, according to Stephen Hawking, the cylinder would have to be infinitely long, which could be an engineering problem. Another major argument against time travel is that it can lead to paradoxes. And if it can create a paradox, maybe it's just not possible. The classic time travel paradox is called the grandfather paradox. If you went back in time and killed your grandfather before your father was even born, then you would never have been born.
