The Bennet sisters aren’t relying on anyone else to take down the horrifying zombies ravaging the English countryside. They’ve got the skills – and the weapons – to get the job done. (And in a corset, that’s no simple task.)
The trailer for Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, based on Seth Grahame-Smith’s best-selling novel, arrived online Friday. Inspired by Jane Austen’s classic tale, the story follows the relationship between Lizzy (Lily James) and Mr. Darcy (Sam Riley), but it’s obvious she has more than romance on her mind.
“Rather than knitting and crocheting, they’re polishing muskets,” James told EW during a recent interview. “She’s the most badass zombie slayer there is.”
The teaser reveals a sneak peek at the sword-wielding, explosions, and serious butt-kicking fans can expect from the adaptation. Pride and Prejudice and Zombies – starring James, Riley, Lena Headey, Matt Smith, Jack Huston, and Charles Dance – hits theaters Feb. 5, 2016.
