Some Taylor Swift fans immortalize their Queen with corn mazes. Others knit sweaters. But artist Rob Surette decided to commemorate the pop star using nothing but gumballs. His creation was so good it won the Ripley’s Believe It Or Not! Unbelievable Art Contest.
Surette created his portrait using exactly 17,625 gumballs of various colors. He won $2,000 dollars for his work, which will now live on as part of the Ripley’s collection, the Orlando Sentinel reports. It will also be featured in the next Ripley’s annual book. There were 130 total submissions for the contest, which required participants to use recyclable everyday materials.
