The cable channel confirmed Saturday that the beleaguered _League_ star’s stand-up special will air tonight as originally planned. Earlier this week Rannazzisi [admitted lying for years](http://www.ew.com/article/2015/09/16/league-rannazzisi-lied-911) about his whereabouts during the 9/11 terror attacks, claiming he narrowly escaped the World Trade Center and worked as an account manager at Merrill Lynch. After news of the Rannazzisi’s admission broke, Comedy Central issued this statement: “We just learned about this last night. We are very disappointed to hear about Steve’s misrepresentations and are currently determining how we will move forward.” This morning a Comedy Central rep confirmed the one-hour special, titled _Steve Rannazzisi_: _Breaking Dad,_ will still air at 8 p.m_._ Rannazzisi also had a 2013 special on Comedy Central called _Steve Rannazzisi: Manchild_. Previously, FX, which airs _The League_, issued a statement of their own, similarly condemning Rannazzisi’s behavior while saying his show will continue airing its final season as planned: “We are disappointed to learn that Steve Rannazzisi lied about being in the World Trade Center on 9/11\.
