In a YouTube clip entitled “Guy annoys girlfriend with puns on nature hike,” Gary Pointon of Auckland, New Zealand, tries to look like he is pestering his girlfriend, Eve Hermansson, with puns inspired by the nature around them during a trek through the Waitakere ranges. Examples of pun-filled questions include “Are you loving the atmossphere?” and “Do you think my puns are treemendous?”
The September 5 video is similar to one filmed by an Australian man, Simon Gilmore, who teased his girlfriend, Dana Lubke, with puns inspired by IKEA products during a trip to the store in a clip that has racked up more than 8 million views since it was uploaded to YouTube on August 13.
