The network announced today that it had ordered 44 additional episodes of the animated family comedy from Seth MacFarlane, which will keep it on the air through a 13th season in 2018. _American Dad!_ has thrived in its new home after Fox dropped the series — which includes a patriotic patriarch, an acerbic alien, and a talking goldfish — after a nine-season run in 2013\. TBS premiered Season 10 last fall, and the series became basic cable’s No. 1 scripted series on Mondays at 9 p.m. among adults 18-34, and drew almost 4 million viewers (counting repeats on TBS and Adult Swim, which airs each episode after it debuts on its sister network, as well as on-demand, digital and other platforms). The previously ordered season 11 of _American Dad!_ will debut on TBS early next year.
