This thrilling video captures the moment when a wedge-tailed eagle recently flew into a drone and knocked it right out of the sky.
The man who filmed the 15-second encounter, Adam Lancaster of Melbourne, Australia, who calls himself a drone photographer and videographer, wrote in a description of the video on YouTube that the “Eagle was fine – she was massive, and used talons to ‘punch’ the drone out of the sky.”
The drone, however, is not in as good of shape. “The drone needed some attention before it could fly again,” Lancaster wrote on YouTube, adding that birds of prey “clearly attack seeing you as a threat or the right sized dinner.”
