Producers at The Simpsons have brought Sofia Vergara on board to get Bart to stop slacking off in class — the Modern Family star has recorded a role as Bart’s new teacher Mrs. Berrera.
Simpsons executive producer Al Jean says that Vergara will have an open door at The Simpsons, as Marcia Wallace, the actress who voiced Bart’s regular teacher Mrs. Krabappel passed away in 2013. Modern Family films at the same studio as The Simpsons.
Vergara’s episode, titled “Teenage Milk-Caused Hurdles,” is expected to air in the middle of season 27, which kicks off Sept. 27.
